A Florida man was arrested Sunday after stabbing his father in the neck because the father wanted to circumcise him, police said.

Police said Alex Fultz, 20, told officers he was angry because his father wouldn’t listen to his protests and “didn’t want to take him to an urologist,” so he stabbed him, WPLG reports.

Fultz entered his father’s bedroom while he was asleep on the sofa and stabbed him in the neck, according to WPLG. Fultz dropped the knife and left before being brought in by officers later that day, when he began walking toward them with his hands up and saying, “Don’t shoot. Don’t shoot. I’m the one who stabbed my dad.”

Fultz was diagnosed as schizophrenic, bipolar and autistic, police said. He was arrested on a charge of attempted felony murder and was being held without bond.

His dad wanted him to get circumcised, so this Florida man decided to be a pain in the neck — literally Dade County Sheriff's Office
