On Saturday night, Alberto Altamirano, a San Antonio native, accepted an award at the inaugural Rare Under 40 awards.

Altamirano was honored for his work in San Antonio’s local government. With his mobile app, CityFlag users can inform the local government about infrastructure issues to build a more inclusive government. At this time, his app only covers San Antonio but Altamirano is hoping to expand to other cities soon.

His wish would be to one day see CityFlag in all major cities so that people can work together to make their homes a better, safer and more beautiful place to live.

We’re hoping he expands CityFlag to Washington, D.C. soon!
