Police are responding to an apparent shooting incident at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Va. on Saturday night that’s reportedly left at least two shot and possibly more injured.

Authorities from many surrounding jurisdictions responded to the scene, which is now secure.

The incident came during the 2nd Annual Spring Fest, which, according to CBS6, featured rappers Lil Boosie, Cardi B, a bike rally and a car show.

WWBT reported that “two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” that “two vehicles were shot, and that there were other incidents outside the park after the initial shooting.”
It’s not clear of those two were hurt in the shooting or in the craziness the followed.
This was what the Dinwiddie Sheriff’s Office said in an 11:30 p.m. news conference. The Sheriff’s Office says that the investigation is ongoing and that they are working to collect information from available resources, whether surveillance video or witness accounts, to find out who was firing guns.
One person was also said to have been hit by a car during the hysteria.
WTVR reported that 10,000 to 12,000 people were at the park. The first gunshot was reportedly fired near the stage, then others followed.
The two were said to have an injured hand and leg respectively. A third was injured by shards of glass when a car was hit by shots.
Cars were damaged by bullets.
We also know that the story was initially referred to as a possible “mass casualty” situation.
A witness speaking to WRIC said shots were fired during performances.
Brent Lamb told the news station he was waiting for Lil Boosie to perform when he heard shots fired. He said people ran as soon as they heard the shots and that the shooting didn’t stop for 20 minutes.
