Dan Savage, a man who helped popularize an alternate meaning to Rick Santorum‘s last name, had some harsh words for First Lady Melania Trump during his recent podcast.

“I fucking hate Melania Trump,” Savage said during a recent edition of “Savage Love.”

According to Savage, Melania avoids some of the criticism that liberals give to President Donald Trump because of her good looks. Savage believes that Melania deserves more flack for some of her positions, and Savage charges that she pushed her husband’s retired claim that President Barack Obama wasn’t an American citizen.

“There are some folks on the left who not only don’t hate her, they view her as some sort of sympathetic figure. The pretty princess in the tower locked up by the orange ogre with the bad combover, a princess desperately blinking out distress signals during swearing-in ceremonies and inaugural balls,” Savage said.

“She is a birther. Pretty Melania went on TV to push the same racist conspiracy theories about Barack Obama that her husband did.”

Savage also accused the first lady of not doing enough to stand up for immigrants, even though she is one.

“She’s an immigrant who doesn’t give a shit about the plight of other immigrants. She’s famously a plagiarist. And she’s brought ruinous lawsuits against journalists and bloggers accusing them of, among other things, potentially interfering with her ability to profit off her role as first lady.”

Though he has been described as an anti-bullying crusader, Savage has often been accused of being a bully himself.

In 2012, Savage famously appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher” and exclaimed that he wished all Republicans “were fucking dead.” Savage later apologized for his comments.
