Much like the rest of America, “The View” couldn’t agree on their thoughts about the US airstrike in Syria

President Trump launched a US airstrike on a Syrian airfield late Thursday night in response to the Syrian government initiating a deadly chemical weapons attack on its people. Reactions to the controversial strike were split.

Even the ladies of ABC’s “The View” argued over whether or not Trump’s actions were justified.

“I love what he did,” began Jedediah Bila, who was more than pleased with the president’s actions. Bila was disappointed that former President Obama did not intervene in response to prior abuses of the Syrian government.

Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin quickly jumped in to say that Trump needed congressional authorization first, which he did not obtain. Bila disagreed, saying that the attack wasn’t a declaration of war.

Behar argued that Congress would have impeached Obama had he not gone to Congress first. Bila argued that Trump’s actions were perfectly justified. Sarah Haines and Hostin went head to head over which laws applied to the airstrike.

Bila still thought Trump’s actions were justified as Russia had a history of vetoing measures from the United Nations that would rein in Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s power. Behar then accused Trump of still being controlled by Russia.

Hostin referenced a tweet Trump made in 2013 advising Obama not to act in Syria without the backing of Congress. Paula Faris acknowledged the tweet, but then noted the pictures and videos of the dead following the attack.

“You have to question your humanity,” she shouted, leading to an argument between herself and Behar.

Haines also defended Trump’s earlier tweet, saying that he might have received new information in the span of three years.

“I think it showed a decisive step,” Haines concluded.

“I think it showed a dictator,” Hostin countered.
