A conversation between Fox News’ Sean Hannity and semi-retired CBS personality, Ted Koppel went viral this weekend after Koppel told Hannity to his face that he was bad for America. According to Koppel, Hannity’s viewers value ideology over information and Hannity benefits from such a scenario. On Monday, Hannity returned to the airwaves and accused CBS of selective editing.

Hannity explained that the conversation lasted almost an hour and was a good back and forth about the media and society, and CBS could have aired more of the segment.

According to Hannity, his program covers news that other media outlets ignore, and because of that, he is good for the American people.

“I’m honest with my audience,” Hannity claimed.

“I don’t pretend that I’m fair and balanced and objective.”

Hannity later accused Koppel of working for a liberal bias and only telling “one side of the story.”

“And if you really cared about truth in journalism, how can you work for a network that only tells one side of the story,” Hannity wailed. “How can I be bad for America when I’m offering the American people news and information nightly that your own network will not touch because they have an agenda?”

Hannity referred to the interview as a “total waste of his time” and “edited fake news.”
