Defending champion Amanda Nunes’ right hand isn’t the only thing hitting Ronda Rousey hard. After she had delivered a swift defeat to Rousey in Friday night’s UFC 207, she continued to throw punches at her opponent on social media.
On Saturday, Nunes, the “Lioness,” tweeted out a photoshopped picture that features her carrying her championship belt while pushing Rousey — a baby — in a stroller.
It only took Nunes 48 seconds to take out Rousey with a TKO, making it the third quickest knockout in women’s UFC bantamweight history. Unfortunately for Rousey, the match was her first after losing to Holly Holm last year, another match in which she lost via knockout.
The match was hyped up in advance with everyone curious to see what Rousey’s comeback would bring. The somewhat overlooked Nunes — who was paid significantly less than Rousey was to fight — didn’t let the shade get in her way.
“I stop everybody like that. When I asked for this fight, I prepared my mind, my spirit, my body for this moment,” Nunes told UFC commentator JoeRogan after her big win. “Nobody is going to take this belt away from me.”
