On Tuesday night, Levine stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and dished about being a new dad to 6-month-old Dusty Rose.

“It’s the greatest thing in the world,” Levine gushed. “I’ve been working ‘Dada’ hard. You work on it really hard and you do slip it into everything you say. Like, if she’s being cute, you’re like, ‘oh my God, look at you! You are so cute. Dada!'”

So far, Dusty hasn’t said an official first word, but she’s close!

“I am working super hard on it and my wife is working ‘Mama,’ so it’s a battle to the finish,” he said.

Fallon remembered teaching his daughter to speak and joked that he would use the word “Dada” for everything!

“I don’t care if the baby is stupid,” Fallon joked. “I just want the record to show that ‘Dada’ was the first word!”

Dusty Rose recently appeared in public with her mom and dad when Levine was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Following the celebration, Prinsloo shared a sweet tribute to her husband.

“A very surreal and amazing day for our family. I’m so proud of all your accomplishments, but mostly I’m proud of the amazing person you are. Best dad best husband, we love you,” she wrote.
