On Sept. 13, 2001, just two days after tragedy struck the United States, Great Britain stood in solidarity with us when they paid tribute by playing the U.S. National Anthem during the traditional changing of the guard.

The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, can be seen holding his hand over his heart in the somber moment.

Men, women and children in the crowd held back tears as the song played. The monumental moment was followed by two minutes of silence in honor of the victims of the American terror attacks on the Twin Towers.

This tribute is one that still gives us chills 15 years later.
