“Beauty and the Beast” is a timeless Disney classic. The movie is still so cherished that the 1991 animated film is being released in 2017 as a live action adaptation of the fairytale.

Belle, of course, is the film’s heroine and protagonist. The beautiful, adventurous young woman is taken captive by a beast in its castle. Through a series of whimsical, emotional, and violent events, Belle comes to realize that the beast isn’t a monster after all and the power of her love releases him from the tragic spell that transformed him into a beast in the first place. The lesson of the film will always be important: it’s what’s on the inside that matters, even if one’s exterior projects something monstrous.

Emma Watson may be portraying Belle in the film adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast” but Lindsey Stirling portrayed a Belle of her own in a video uploaded to her YouTube channel on March 13, 2017. In the charming video, Stirling is seen on the set of her tour, dressed up like Belle — long brown hair pulled back and everything. The violinist then begins to play “Belle,” a song written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Howard Ashman for the original Disney film in 1991. It was originally performed by actress and singer Paige O’Hara, who lent her voice to Belle’s character for the animated film.

It may not include the original lyrics, but Stirling’s version is gorgeous!
