“When I was a kid, I was with my dad and my two brothers,” Paris Jackson said in a new interview for her cover of Harper’s Bazaar. “Growing up, I was treated as the favorite because I was the only girl.”

“I was the princess; I was perfect in my dad’s eyes,” she added.

The King of Pop passed away in 2009. He had three children — Prince, 19; Paris, 18; and Blanket, 15. The children continue to keep his legacy alive, and both Paris and Prince are starting to find fame on their own. She is an aspiring model and actress, while he has his own production company, King’s Son Productions.

Paris Jackson admitted that while she and her siblings are used to being in the spotlight, she doesn’t let the small stuff in the news bother her.

“You’re on their mind – how is that a bad thing?” she said of social media trolls. “Doesn’t matter if they’re saying good or bad things about you. They’re thinking about you enough to write about you.”

Jackson is also well aware she can use her following to speak about things that are important to her and to influence young people to become interested in politics.

“I know there are a lot of people who would feel very blessed to be in my position, so I want to use it for important things,” she said.
