A dad’s diaper duty never ends, even when he’s a prince!
Prince William and Duchess Kate were still faced with dirty diapers, even though they left the kids at home, on their royal tour in Canada Sunday.
During a visit to Sheway Pregnancy Outreach Program, a charity that helps mothers overcome addiction, a three-month-old baby got a little too excited to see the royal couple.
“Hunter had a royal poop just as they were coming to meet us,” his mother, Jordanna Coleman, told PEOPLE.
Coleman had to pull off a quick change, and baby Hunter met Princess Kate and Prince William wearing only a diaper and blanket. Will was reportedly “very cool” about the incident. (Nothing he hasn’t seen before, right?)
“Will was like, ‘Oh, they always have the best timing, don’t they?'” Coleman added.
One little girl presented the couple with a gift — two teddy bears for Princess Charlotte and Prince George. When Will accepted the gifts, he said, “George would love this.”
Duchess Kate also enjoyed her time with the children and their mothers.
“She adored them; she was amazing with them,” Cameo Hydrochuck said. “If we weren’t in the place we were, she probably would have just picked them up.”
Hydrochuck said she looks forward to telling her three-month old daughter, Jasmine, of the encounter with the royal couple when she grows up.
The mothers were buzzing with excitement to be in the presence of William and Kate, but the kids were apparently less impressed.
“The Royals are here now?” one little boy asked as the couple talked to a lead staff member.
The charity also tweeted about the couple’s visit.
“It was a tremendous honour to host the Duke and Duchess here at our Sheway home. ***spoiler alert: they were unbelievably warm and kind.”
