A man with a fresh mani is all the rage in Hollywood.

Well, not a traditional mani, anyway. Some of Hollywood’s hottest hunks have banded together to bring awareness to violence against children.

According to E! News, the inspiration behind the meaningful manicure was brought on by Elliot Costello after he met and bonded with a little girl who was repeatedly physically and sexually abused in the orphanage where she lived. She painted one of his nails during their meeting and said goodbye.

Costello then came up with an organization, Polished Man, and started a social media movement.

To be a Polished Man means “you don’t turn your back on the vulnerable. You raise your voice – and nail – to say, ‘not on my watch.’ You embrace the smirks and know it doesn’t matter; there are worse things than being embarrassed by a little mani. Because nailing it isn’t about shouting the first round, or how much you lift. Nailing it is saying no to violence against children.”

Stars like Zac Efron and the Hemsworth brothers are showing their support. Efron has nominated James Marsden, Hugh Jackman and Adam Devine to participate.
