One of Steve Harvey’s former employees claims that he has recordings of his old boss going on tirades against whites. According to Radar Online, Joseph Cooper, who was hired by Harvey in 1993, said that he has 120 hours worth of material that include Harvey making statements like “spit on white people” and “go assault white women.”
Radar Online conducted an investigation into Cooper’s claims and found a shifty back story that thickens against Harvey. According to the website, Harvey claimed that Cooper attempted to extort him. Harvey sued Cooper and his lawyers stated in court documents that “virtually every time Harvey was hired for a television show [Cooper] would contact the owners or principals to inform them of potentially embarrassing material and or tapes and attempt to have them influence Harvey to pay for the tapes.”
Cooper has also sued Harvey (for $20 million), though the reasoning behind the lawsuit is unclear. The former employee did say that the world needs to hear Harvey’s rants, which are essentially recordings of old comedy routines that the “Family Feud” host performed before he transitioned into his current family-man image. Cooper claims that Harvey began one show by bemoaning the fact that he “only had 30 minutes to tell how he hates whites.” He hasn’t performed stand-up in several years and has, instead, been hosting the famous game show and a nationally syndicated radio program.
