While they are in Canada, the royal couple will visit the city of Vancouver, the sub-Artic Yukon and remote rain forests. Their first stop is in British Columbia for duties in Victoria on Sept. 24, and the eight-day tour ends in B.C. on Oct. 1.

The couple will enjoy formal occasions as part of the royal tour, but the biggest treat for the outdoorsy duo will be the Great Bear Rainforest, which was recently protected by the local British Columbia government.

They will also visit Carcross, which was once a hunting camp named for the caribou herds that cross the land between the lakes.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte will likely join their parents in Canada, though their travel plans have not yet been confirmed by the Palace. When the couple visited New Zealand and Australia, Prince George stayed behind at home base. Perhaps this time, he’ll be along for the journey.

The full itinerary is as follows:

Sept. 24: Victoria, British Columbia
Sept. 25: Vancouver, British Columbia
Sept. 26: Bella Bella and Great Bear Rainforest, British Columbia
Sept. 27: Kelowna, British Columbia and Whitehorse, Yukon
Sept. 28: Whitehouse and Carcross, Yukon
Sept. 29: Victoria, British Columbia
Sept. 30: Haida Gwaii, British Columbia
Oct. 1: Victoria, British Columbia

The couple was invited by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to visit Canada with their children in July. The couple is said to be “delighted to be returning,” as they took their first visit as newlyweds in July 2011.
