Duchess Catherine spent some time with the families of hospitalized children in London, and it was a day to remember.

On Tuesday, the mother of two toured the Ronald McDonald house near Evelina London Children’s Hospital to celebrate Pancake Day, known as Fat Tuesday in the U.S.
Kate reportedly toured the 59-bedroom home, which provides a safe environment for families of children who are being treated at the hospital. The Duchess spent time with the families and even whipped up some pancakes in honor of the day.
A little girl named Isabelle received extra smiles from Kate after she greeted her with a bouquet of flowers. Isabelle’s 6-year-old brother is a patient at the hospital.

“Little eight year old Isabelle gave The Duchess a lovely bouquet of flowers. Isabelle’s little brother Luke is just six years old and he suffers from multiple illnesses. He has up to 50 epileptic fits a day and has sensory impairments. Isabelle and her parents have been staying at Evelina House for four weeks and Isabelle has had the chance to attend school there while her brother receives treatment,” Kensington Palace shared on Instagram.
The home was designed to help families feel at home while their children are in treatment and is equipped with laundry facilities, lounges and playrooms.
