Monday on the Herman Cain Show, the victory of the employees of the Chattanooga-Tennessee Volkswagen plant was featured. These workers rejected attempts by the United Auto Workers attempts to unionize them.

In a statement, a spokesman  for the workers had this to say: “It’s not politicians, it’s not the owners of the auto plant and it’s not the UAW — it was the workers. They decided that they’re making sufficient wages, that they have a voice with management, and they like their jobs and didn’t feel they needed representation.”

Today, a Volkswagen spokesman accepted the decision. But Timothy Noah, a spokesman for the UAW, had this to say instead: “The opposition, I gather, portrayed this as a kind of Northern invasion, a re-fighting of the Civil War. Apparently there are not a lot of black employees in this particular plant, and so that kind of – waving the Confederate flag –  was an effective strategy.”

“That’s what I mean by race. Every chance they get they will use race,” said Herman Cain.

“Let me tell you why Timothy Noah said what he said. That’s bait for the NAACP.”
