The Campaign to Deport Piers Morgan

America’s least favorite Brit was the subject of a White House petition, demanding his immediate deportation, in January. Over 100,000 people agreed that Piers Morgan was a threat to the United States and should be immediately sent back to England. Over four times more people were able to successfully speak their mind than could successfully sign up on Healthcare.gov. Much like the country wishes to do with Obamacare, the White House denied the request.

Alec Baldwin’s Awful T.V Show

Alec Baldwin

Last week’s episode of Alec Baldwin’s MSNBC talk-show, “Up Late With Alec Baldwin”, pulled in its lowest ratings yet. The episode, which saw Baldwin chat up two unknown non-profit workers pulled in a measly 101,000 viewers. Though cable ratings are often far lower than broadcast television, 101,000 is an awful figure. That being said, more people tuned in to watch one of T.V.’s worst performing shows than were able to sign up for Obamacare through the federal website.

A Gelato Festival in Rome

Go For The Food-Norwich

People really do love dessert. Last May, nearly 130,00 people attended the first stop of the annual Gelato World Tour. The event showcased different varieties of the sweet treat from around the world. Attendees were able to sample Gelato, and learn about different preparation methods. Almost five times as many people ate gelato for free than signed up for our federally funded healthcare initiative.

Crazy Rhubarb Lady

instinctmagazine.com

In late July, a mesmerizing video appeared online of a crazy woman stealing rhubarb from a neighbors garden. Hundreds of websites ran the video, showcasing one of the most absurd things ever put to film. Gawker.com, has always been kind enough to share their hits with their audience. According to the website, 256,231 clicked on their article. That means that nine times as many people wanted to see a crazy person steal delicious vegetables than could sign up for Obamacare.

The Paris Hilton Album

warnerbrothersrecords

Paris Hilton’s debut album “Paris”, came out to scathing reviews in 2006. The album is terrible, though not terrible enough for it to sell 77,000 copies in its first week. So far it’s sold 197,000 copies. At the time 77,000 copies represented the 6th most popular album in America. Think about it: More Americans are jamming out to “Stars are Blind” than have bought insurance policies from Barack Obama.
