Horrible video uploaded to Facebook by the City of Phoenix Police Department shows the moment a driver plowed into three police officers standing outside their police car early Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Joe Yahner posted a message along with the video, saying it was an “intentional attack.”

“These officers had just completed a call for service and were standing in the parking lot in front of the store debriefing the incident when the suspect drove his vehicle directly at them, attempting to run them over,” the post read.

Video shows the driver flying full speed directly at the officers, then crashing into the police car. The driver then smashes right through a QT gas station store front.

The two officers hit suffered non-life threatening injuries. The third officer managed to get out of the way before the vehicle came flying through but suffered injuries as well while dealing with the driver.

“As a Department, we are very fortunate these officers were not killed or more seriously injured. We are living in uncertain times, and this is yet another reminder of how important it is to stay vigilant, and to watch out for one another.”

The driver, Marc LaQuon Payne, 44, was taken into custody, Fox 10 reported.
