A Pennsylvania woman who was arrested for her part in an alleged double homicide was found dead in her prison cell, and authorities believe she hanged herself.
Veronique Henry, 32, and her husband Paul Henry, 40, were charged with shooting and killing 31-year-old Foday Cheeks and 26-year-old Danielle Taylor during a robbery Tuesday.
The couple were arrested Wednesday, and Veronique Henry was found dead the next morning at the York County Prison.
According to PennLive, corrections officers performed CPR and attempted to revive Henry. They were not successful.
A witness who survived the shooting recognized the woman as “Veronique,” though she didn’t know who Paul Henry was. He was, however, identified as the gunman.
Authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy to confirm that Henry committed suicide.
