It’s a no brainer. When George Strait requests that you sing a song, you sing the song, even when it’s one of his songs.

To celebrate the release of his upcoming “Strait Out Of the Box: Part 2” in November, George has asked some of his favorite country singers to cover their favorite Strait tracks. Young Texas hitmaker Randy Rogers was thrilled to contribute his favorite George song, “Wrapped,” as a nod to his country music hero.

Texas country music fans need no background on Randy since he has been making music around the Lone Star state for some time. He and his buddy, Wade Bowen, have had great success with their Hold My Beer and Watch This Tour and even released an album of the same name together.

On his own, Randy and his band have built a nationwide following who loves their high energy and often hilarious brand of entertainment. And, rest assured, it is country, down to featuring great fiddle licks on their songs.

As honored as Randy is to be asked to take part in this launch of George’s new box set, he and the King of Country Music actually have a history together. Randy Rogers Band has opened for George and his Ace In the Hole band numerous times, including on the country icon’s last Cowboy Rides Away Tour.
