While a 25-year-old woman from Schaffhausen, Switzerland, partied away on Saturday night and into Sunday morning, her 2-year-old son was left all alone in a locked car, The Sun reports.

The toddler’s screams were eventually heard by a group that was walking by, and when they looked inside and found that he was all by himself, they called the police. The police then called a mechanic, who was able to break the scared child out of the car.

The woman returned about 20 minutes later and was charged with “dereliction of the duty of care of her child in front of the public prosecutors.”

One concerned citizen was so angered by the woman’s actions that he damaged her car, which resulted in her reporting him for vandalism. We’ll let you decide on which was the worse crime of the night.
