She thought the pain was from kidney stones.

According to 11Alive News, after Stephanie arrived at the Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia, doctors asked if there was any way she could be pregnant. She responded that it wasn’t a possibility, and the hospital staff began to make preparations for an x-ray.

However, after some careful observation, the staff suddenly changed its mind and ordered an ultrasound instead.

‘She’s not getting a CAT scan; she’s getting an ultrasound,'” Michael recalled the doctor saying.

Soon they found out that not only was Stephanie pregnant; she was almost full-term.

Within 30 minutes, doctors were preparing Stephanie to give birth.

On Wednesday, at 3:50 a.m., Shaun Jude Jaegers was born. He weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces, was 19 inches long and appeared to be completely healthy.

Shaun is the couple’s fourth child, who already have two sons, ages 16 and 11, and a 2-year-old daughter.

Michael responded to questions about how they didn’t know Stephanie was pregnant in a Facebook post, writing, “Steph was diagnosed with pre-menopause awhile back which would justify the hormone imbalance also associated with a pregnancy. Shaun was also breech throughout the entire pregnancy which prevented him from moving around to indicate to Steph that he was in there and his position made it to where Steph didn’t “show”. The most bizarre part is she continued to have a menstrual cycle, which the hospital tells us is rare, but can happen.”

A friend has set up a GoFundMe page for the couple to help with the expenses from their unexpected blessing.

Congratulations to the happy family!
