A teacher from California had a pretty bad experience with and claims she got a very nasty email from them.

According to CBS2, Cara Viramontes alleges that when she went to check her itinerary for her trip last week, she found a shocking message in bold that an employee left which said, “F**k you!”

Even more shocking is that her family’s reservation which she booked for a four-day New Year’s trip was canceled without their approval. Viramontes told CBS that she responded “honestly” to an online survey about her experience with Expedia, after they charged her for travel insurance for her 8 month old son who doesn’t even need a plane ticket of  his own.

“I was honest,” Viramontes told CBS2. “I said, ‘You know what, the lady wasn’t helpful. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she wouldn’t let me speak to a supervisor.’”

She said after the survey she then got an email from Expedia about the cancellation of her trip two days later, which is when she noticed the expletive included on the itinerary.

“Everyone I show, they laugh and think it’s a joke,” she told the stataion. “No one can believe a company as credible as Expedia would ever do something like this.”

Viramontes took a screenshot of the message on her itinerary and called customer service. They told her she was the one who canceled the reservation.

Expedia told Viramontes that it would cost her $200 to book another flight. She also said she was never reimbursed for her $600 plane tickets from her trip.

On Tuesday, CBS2 reached out for comment from Expedia.

“We take this matter very seriously and have opened up an investigation analyzing every click and action made by our customer service agents,” Expedia told the station.

The company told CBS2 they will give Viramontes a $500 voucher, refund her for the flights and rebook them for her.
