Rumor has it that celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain is back on the market.
Page Six reports that Bourdain and his wife of nearly 10 years, Ottavia Busia — who trains as an MMA fighter — have split up. Friends of the couple claim that they have been separated for some time.
“They’ve been separated for a while,” a source said, adding, “there was no one else involved.”
They began their whirlwind romance nearly a decade ago after going to a cigar bar together and then getting matching tattoos. Shortly after their first few dates, they married in 2007.
In the years since their nuptials, Bourdain found more success and Busia became a “fighting machine” while practicing jiu-jitsu. She also reportedly stopped drinking and smoking.
Bourdain, 60, has yet to comment on the split, but Busia, 38, opened up to Page Six via email.
“Because of professional decisions we both have made, my husband and I have been for years in an unconventional relationship. Nothing has changed. We love each other. We respect the decisions the other has made. And we’ll always consider ourselves a family,” she wrote.
She remains supportive of her ex, too. Just last week, Busia took to Instagram to congratulate Bourdain on his Emmy win.
