High school students searching for their top college options have many factors to weigh. Location, admissions selectivity and affordability are just some of the more immediate components to take into consideration. For those who look even further ahead to their post-college lives, a university’s post-graduation salary can heavily impact the overall decision.

StartClass — an educational site part of the Graphiq network — found the 50 large colleges where alumni earn the most. We focused only on four-year colleges with at least 15,000 undergraduate students and sorted them based on median earnings 10 years after enrollment. The data comes from the College Scorecard, an education database released by the White House, and only includes information on students who received some form of federal financial aid. While our data is limited in its scope, it’s important to note that this represents about 70 percent of all graduating postsecondary students.

Of the 10 large colleges with the highest post-graduation salary, five are located in California. There are 35 schools on the list with a median post-graduation salary above $50,000, and all universities listed have median salaries of at least $47,800.

Note: In the event of ties, the school with the largest undergraduate enrollment was ranked higher.
