Megyn Kelly has been getting a lot of press for her new book, which reportedly opens up about Roger Ailes and the sexual harassment that became commonplace when the now-disgraced CEO was at the helm of the media giant. And while Kelly played a pivotal role on the conservative news station, her brush with Donald Trump during the primaries has led many of his supporters to disavow her. Those aboard the Trump train have become even more upset with her after she appeared on “The View” to promote her book and talked more about Ailes and the environment at Fox.

And while Trump has forgiven some of his grudges (see: Hillary Clinton), his supporters haven’t forgotten how they feel about Megyn Kelly, and they let their views known on the Amazon reviews for her recent book “Settle For More.” The company quickly realized that the reviews weren’t being left by readers but rather embittered keyboard warriors. In fact, many of the reviews said nothing about the manuscript but instead launched attacks on the author herself. Slate reported that, as of last Friday morning, the book had almost 400 reviews and “more than half were one-star.” Apparently, just before Amazon purged the negative reviews, 76 percent of reviews were one star.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a link to “Settle For More” was posted on a subreddit called “The_Donald.” The poster wrote “it would be a shame if her biased reporting was reflected in the customer reviews!” A representative for HarperCollins, through whom Kelly’s book is published, stated that the comments have all “the hallmarks of an orchestrated effort to discredit the book and our author.” A reviewer going by the name of David wrote, “Megyn Kelly has decided to write a book about being a crybaby. She complains that men objectify her while she poses in seductive and suggestive poses in magazines.”
