Americans are very pessimistic these days when it comes to the economy and their futures.
According to a recent poll, 8/10 Americans feel that’s it’s harder to get ahead now than it was for previous generations. Additionally, Gallup reports that 24-34 year old’s are increasingly living at home with parents.
“A lot of people are becoming more pessimistic about achieving their American Dreams … we are still short by a couple million jobs than we had 6 years ago.”
“Maybe that has something to do with it.”
It seems, then, Americans are still feeling the recession squeeze.
