Police in Queensland, Australia, were desperate to find missing 17-year-old Erian Thompson, making a public plea to anyone who knew about her whereabouts. But it turns out, she was actually in the safest of places: her own bedroom.

The police were tipped off on Thompson’s location when she herself responded to a Facebook post from the Queensland Police Service.

“Guys I’m fine I’m not missing this is an overreaction to a fight I had with my sister, I’m legit just sitting in my bedroom,” she wrote in the comment.

A Queensland police representative responded, “I am glad that you’re safe, but we can’t take this down until you’ve been sighted by police and we’ve confirmed that you’re okay. Can you call again or make your way to a police station?”

Thompson was soon thereafter found in her room before 5 p.m. on Sunday, though not before posting this sometime before then, Daily Mail Australia reports: “Officially done here. Any chance there was to fix this is way gone. I’ve had to cut a lot of people out of my life and now I’m not even upset about it. They can go sit in the middle of the highway for all I care.”
