It’s Carrie Underwood like you’ve never seen her before — from all angles, up close and personal, in the round.

The Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round is maybe the greatest tour Carrie has ever assembled. The lights, the 360-degree stage design with movable parts, the costumes, the production —everything is absolutely enormous, yet it feels so small. (See what we did there?)

It’s all aimed at bringing a more intimate-feeling show to fans as they listen to the stories from the album. The pomp and circumstance is all there, but the evening feels conversational.

The tour launched in January of this year and will run until Nov. 28. Our girl is not playing around… she’s devoted an entire year of her life to this show!

One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to Carrie’s C.A.T.S. Foundation, which works to improve her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma by providing aid and support for animal welfare, the town and local schools. She’s always thinking of home.

Special guests Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers joined Carrie for the North American run, while her “Heartbeat” duet partner Sam Hunt, Lauren Alaina, Jill Johnson, Little Big Town and Maddie and Tae all appeared on the European run.

But, of course, the ultimate special guest on the tour is her little man, Isaiah, who was by his mama’s side, loving every minute of it. The tour bus is even baby-proofed, y’all.

The set list includes all the hits, from “Cowboy Casanova” to “Wasted” to “Two Black Cadillacs” to cuts from her latest album like “Heartbeat,” “Dirty Laundry” and “Choctaw Country Affair,” where she plays a mean harmonica solo. The Swon Brothers come out for killer medley of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ In The Dark” and Alabama’s “Mountain Music.”

The night is just a blast!

But in true Carrie fashion, she’s always thinking about how to make the concert experience the best she can for her fans. “I personally like to change a few things up just to keep it fresh and keep people that saw our shows on the first leg see something a little different on the second,” she said in an interview earlier this year. “So, we’re doing a little tour wardrobe refresh and changing out a couple songs. Just kind of keeping things interesting and fun.”

And what might 2017 hold? This show is so much fun to perform, Carrie just has to brag just a little bit.

“Every single night, everybody brings it,” Carrie says. “I feel like we bring it, the crowd brings it, and everybody has so much fun. I couldn’t imagine not doing more shows.”
