There’s nothing like the healing touch and comforting voice of a mother. Whether it’s a two-legged or four-legged baby, they just seem to know that everything will be okay when Mama is close by.

Carrie Underwood broke the news right after Christmas that her first baby, her “fur baby” Ace, had suffered a herniated disc and was paralyzed on his back end. She shared the news in an Instagram post that showed the pup undergoing his physical therapy. It was both sad and sweet as Carrie encouraged the terrier to do his exercises.

It looks like the PT is paying off! The country music superstar updated us again with an Instagram post showing the pup once again going through his paces on an aqua treadmill. Carrie can be heard speaking gently to Ace, and it looks like he might have a little more pep in his step.
While he isn’t completely well yet, Carrie writes, “…he gets a little better every day! I even have to stop him from trying to play with his sister.” Carrie and Mike have a second pup named Penny.
Carrie thanked fans and friends for their concern and well-wishes and, of course, more comments began pouring in wishing both Ace and the rest of the family good health.
Proof, once again, that country music fans are the absolute best there are.
