Carrie Underwood looked like a million bucks on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards Jan. 8 in Beverly Hills. Everything about her looked put together and in order, but Carrie can’t say the same about the state of her house back in Nashville.

In a nod to status as a hard-working mom, Carrie admitted that she’s got a lot of work to do to get her house clean and straightened up going into the new year.

“I feel like my house is a wreck, so I’m like, I’ve got to get this in order,” Carrie told E! Red Carpet host Ryan Seacrest. “Being home off the road, every time we go home for a little short 24, 48-hour stints, I just drop stuff off and leave again. And now I’m trying to make sense of life.”

It’s totally understandable that Carrie is feeling a little disheveled. She took her Storyteller Tour around the world this past year with shows in Europe, Australia and North America.

Now that she’s back home, Carrie may begin some songwriting, but she’s not keeping nearly the crazy schedule she had last year.

Says Carrie, “I think I’m gonna enjoy a little time with my family and then start writing, maybe, and just seeing what I’m ready to do. I don’t know. There’s no real plans.”
