Having technical difficulties onstage would probably top the list of an entertainer’s worst nightmare.

The “Heartbreaker” singer, who botched her “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” performance in Times Square on Dec. 31, appeared to have suffered from issues with her earpiece. But, despite Mariah’s lip sync debacle, fans have continued to show their support for her, including country singer Carrie Underwood.
While walking the 2017 Golden Globes red carpet on Jan. 8, Carrie spoke to “The Insider” and blatantly expressed, “I don’t care what happens, she’s Mariah Carey!”
Carrie even admitted that if she was ever given the chance to swap places with Mariah for a day, she would.
“When you see footage of [Mariah] like on yachts and stuff like that, and it’s just something… she’s fabulous,” said Carrie.

God knows that Carrie has had her fair share of experience performing at big events, too. In fact, she even performed for “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” as part of the 2015-2016 crystal ball drop. So, you can bet that the “Church Bells” singer knows firsthand what it’s like to be in the middle of Times Square in front of thousands of people and in the blistering cold.
Aside from her glowing remarks about Mariah, Carrie was on hand to present two trophies at the awards show for “Best Original Score” and “Best Original Song.”
