Known best for hits such as “The Trouble with Girls” and “See You Tonight,” Scotty is currently out promoting his new book,“Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream.”

“I try to make short-term decisions based on a long-term view… if that makes any sense,” he said. “I’m looking toward the future and the big goals I want to accomplish. You have to accomplish a lot of the short-term goals to get there, but you look toward the future. You hope you can get there. There is a lot of stuff you have to do today before you get there.”
