Da Vinci’s genius lives on: Instrument finally built after 500 years

Leonardo Da Vinci was a genius and one of the most prolific inventors in history. The list of his inventions includes every day things like the ball bearing, parachute, diving suit, armored tank, and even the machine gun. So basically, he was a badass.

500 years later, he is still making new contributions to the world. He invented an instrument that is a hybrid of a cello and a piano, called a viola organista. The thing sounds like an entire symphony being played… on something the looks like a grand piano. Polish concert pianist Slawomir Zubrzycki took the time to interpret Da Vinci’s designs and has created a master piece.
