Yesterday, Congress passed a 1.1 trillion dollar government-wide spending bill, easing the harshest effects of last years automatic budget cuts.
Democrat leaders, though widely supportive of this bill, have not read the bill. Herman Cain pointed to two representatives specifically, Rep. Gerald Connolly of Virginia and Rep. Earl Blumenauer of Oregon.
Cain notes that Connolly, when asked if he had read the 1,582 page bill by a reporter, responded: “I’m not going to dignify that question with an answer.” What’s more, Blumenauer admitted that no one had read it.
“It’s the political class versus the working class,” Cain remarked.
