Put that CD collection to good use!
1. Wall hanging
How cool does this wall hanging look? And it looks even better when light reflects off it, making those fun rainbow colors on all the discs. It’s pretty easy to make by using rings to attach the CDs in straight chains and then hanging the chains next to each other. See the full instructions on Creative Me, Inspired You.
2. DIY disco ball
Ever wanted a disco ball in your house? Old CDs are the perfect disco making material. Just cut them into squares and attach to a styrofoam ball. This YouTube video shows exactly how to make it.
3. Framed mirror
Broken pieces of CDs make the perfect material for mosaics. And a mirrored mosaic looks amazing around a mirror. All you have to do is break the CDs into randomly shaped pieces with pliers and then glue them to the existing mirror frame in a pattern you like. Fab DIY shows us how easy it can be.
4. CD coasters
CDs are actually the perfect size, shape, and material to act as a coaster. Just cover the top with fabric to absorb excess moisture and provide decorations, and you’ve got a new set. Crafts by Amanda shows us how to make them.
5. Closet dividers
These cute closet dividers are so useful, especially for sorting baby clothes. No need to buy them when you can make them out of old CDs and printed labels. Creations by Christie has the instructions and templates to get everything set up.
