Even at 93 years old, the Broadway Bridge in Little Rock, Ark., was too strong to bring down.

Dozens gathered Tuesday as demolition crews triggered explosives to bring the nearly century-old piece of infrastructure down. But they had little effect, as the bridge deck and arch remained intact.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Division then used cables to pull the arches into the river, which took several hours.
