Life works in mysterious ways.

It’s newest mystery has people asking: what is that.

On Friday, Sept. 9, Rich McCormack snapped the following photo of the 9/11 commemorative light beams as they appeared across the Hudson River. He was standing at the waterfront in Hoboken, NJ.

“Zoom in to the top of beam,” McCormack wrote on Facebook. “Do you see something?”
Some people, like McCormack, say it’s an angel. Others are skeptical.

“I didn’t realize the image was there until I looked back into the camera and saw a larger piece of white there and I kept enlarging it and saw the image,” Rich McCormack told Inside Edition. “It looked like the image of the lord or an angel… I feel like it was angels watching over us,” he said.

McCormack says there was “no Photoshop” and “no gimmicks.” He “took many” photos and this was the only one to show the figure at the top of the light beams.
