Rest in peace, Tommy Ford.
The actor who famously played Tommy in the ’90s sitcom “Martin” died Wednesday after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen, TMZ reports.
Ford was hospitalized Sunday in an Atlanta hospital and his health rapidly declined.
Ford’s good friend Anthony Anderson first tweeted his condolences to the family, but when Ford’s wife Gina confirmed he was on life support early Wednesday, Anderson deleted the tweet.
He was surrounded by family when he passed away.
He spent five seasons playing “Tommy,” the best friend to the title character in “Martine.” Following that gig, Ford went on to appear in “New York Undercover,” “The Parkers” and “The Jamie Foxx Show.”
Ford also wrote children’s books in an effort to promote drug-free and violence-free lifestyles.
He was 52 years old.
Our condolences to the family.
