In the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew’s path of destruction throughout Florida, a bald eagle became trapped inside the grille of a car.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call on Saturday. A driver in Jacksonville noticed an odd shape in an oncoming car’s grille and proceeded to chase down the car and call 911.

Pictures posted to Facebook by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office show the bird stuck in a very vulnerable position as firemen and police officers prepare to rescue it.

“The bird is alive and was turned over to the B.E.A.K.S. Wildlife Sanctuary. Great Job by all involved,” it reads.
