Garth Brooks is introducing his music to an entirely new generation of fans with his current World Tour, and that includes his own daughters.

Garth’s three girls didn’t attend many of his big arena shows in the ’90s since they were so young back then. Instead, they were usually hanging out at the hotel when they would come visit dad on the road. Then Garth took a decade-and-a-half off the road to raise the girls before coming back with his World Tour in 2014.

Garth says of his first go-round as a country megastar, “They don’t remember any part of that. This time off — they couldn’t understand what the big deal was.”

Now, Garth’s girls are getting to see just how big a star their dad really is with sold-out concerts just about every weekend. His youngest daughter, Allie, was with him for his recent run of shows in Louisville, Kentucky, but she wasn’t exactly jumping up and down in the audience with the rest of the fans.

“Now you get to show ‘em what you do, and they’re like, ‘Meh…that’s cool,'” Garth says with a smile. “They’re not that impressed with it.”

That’s totally fine with Garth, though.

He adds, “I would much rather be known as their father than ‘this,’ you know? It’s a neat blessing.”

Look for Garth to play a big run of shows in Las Vegas coming up June 24 through July 4.
