Millennials are often accused of wanting recognition for every little thing. But really, it was our parents and grandparents who trained us to expect trophies for everything. Our generation was raised during a time when positive reinforcement was seen as a very good thing.

In fact, if you didn’t provide your child with positive reinforcement, you would probably be accused of being a bad parent.
Generations before us grew up in a time where hard work didn’t come with any kind of special recognition. Being a good worker earned you a good living, and that in and of itself was a trophy.
Don’t blame us for the way we are, because y’all are the ones who raised us. We think we turned out OK.
