It’s fall, y’all! And that means it’s time to start planning our Thanksgiving dinners! (I’m totally on board with any holiday that revolves around eating!)

Because I want my Thanksgiving guests — and my kids, of course — to eat more vegetables, I decided to whip up an autumn salad to complement the turkey. It’s loaded with beautiful and healthy fall veggies, and it tastes amazing.

You’ll need:

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut lengthwise
  • 1 butternut squash, cubed
  • Beets
  • 3 sprigs basil

  • Goat cheese
  • Juice of one orange
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Orange and lemon zest

Hey, it definitely beats cranberry sauce out of a can!
