On the season 23 premiere of “Dancing with the Stars,” Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte took the stage for the first time with his partner, Cheryl Burke.

After his performance, Lochte was interrupted by two men who rushed the stage as he received critiques from judge Carrie Ann Inaba. The scene quickly cut to commercial, and the men were removed from the premises. Thankfully, no one was injured.

But before all the chaos, Lochte had to get through his first dance of the season, a foxtrot.

“My fear is that I am going to go up there and I am going to be a failure,” he admitted. “My biggest regret is letting other people down. I want to prove to the world that I have changed. It’s my second chance. And, I don’t want to blow it.”

Dancing to “Call Me Irresponsible” by Michael Bublé, Lochte and Burke flowed around the stage. It was a beautiful performance!

The pair earned 24 out of a possible 40 points.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs Mondays and Tuesdays (starting next week) at 8 p.m. on ABC.
