The pressure is becoming too much for Paris Jackson to handle.

The 18-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson took to Instagram Wednesday night with a emotional series of posts about her life in the public eye and the constant ridicule she receives from followers.

“I don’t understand how so there is so much hatred in the world right now,” she started the posts, which have since been added to YouTube by a fan. “I’ve tried sticking up for myself. I’ve tried the whole blocking-the-haters thing. I’ve tried not reading the comments. I’ve tried a lot of things.”

“I don’t know why I am such an easy target. I try to be nice to everyone that I meet. I give everyone a chance,” she continued.

She revealed that she does her best to be open about her life and keep her fans included in what’s going on in her world, but it’s getting to be too much. Then, she opened up about her past suicide attempt.

“When I was 14, I got so much hatred that, um, I tried to kill myself, and then I took a two-year break from social media,” Jackson said, adding that she eventually returned to Instagram at the urging of fans. “Nothing changed.”

She also defended Justin Bieber, who recently stopped taking photos with fans and deleted his Instagram account after followers attacked his girlfriend, Sofia Richie.

“I have known his girlfriend Sofia since I was 12 or 13. She is one of the sweetest girls in the world, and people are telling her to kill herself!” Jackson said.

She reminded fans that just because celebrities live in the public eye, doesn’t mean they lack feelings.

“When you say damaging things like that to people, it fucks them up. It really fucks them up, and I don’t know if that’s what people want,” she said. “It’s exhausting. Really and truly. It’s exhausting.”
