People know and love Panera Bread because it’s tasty, reliable and because it has a relatively healthy reputation. Sure, it’s still casual dining, but it’s not as unhealthy as Burger King and McDonald’s.

Or so they think.

Panera Bread has some healthy fare, such as their salads and broth bowls, but many of their more popular options, such as paninis and pastries, have calorie and fat levels comparable to items found at more stereotypical fast food joints.

The experts at HealthGrove, a health research site part of the Graphiq network, wanted to take a closer look at Panera Bread’s offerings, so they compiled a list of the most caloric food items on the menu (not including drink items) as of May 2016. The list is ranked according to calorie count, and when ties occur, items are ordered by increasing sugar levels.

Though diners often think of Panera Bread as healthier than standard fast food, don’t be fooled into a false sense of security — the most calorific item on Panera Bread’s menu has nearly the same number of calories as two McDonald’s Big Macs — 1,080 calories to be exact.

Note: If an item had a “half” or “whole” choice, the latter was chosen for the comparison. Similarly, all soups featured on the list include a bread bowl.
