One of Jimmy Fallon’s best segments on his show features him reading tweets filed under a particular hashtag. This week, Fallon chose to read his favorite tweets with the hashtag, #IOnceOverheard — and, boy, did some people overhear some gems!

Let’s face it, we all eavesdrop on other people’s conversations. And sometimes that can payoff, like in the form of getting your tweet read out on an NBC late night show.

First, there was some confusion over the initials of a significant historical figure. A young lady tweeted, “I overheard a kid in my history class ask, ‘who’s LBJ?’ Another kid responded with, ‘LeBron James.'”

“DUH!” says Fallon.

Then there was an astute art critique: “In the Sistine Chapel, I overheard a guy say, ‘If it was me, I would have left the walls white. Would have looked bigger.'” This dude seems to have had a fundamental misunderstanding of what he was doing there in the first place.

The tweets only got more absurdly funny from there.
