The war of words between President-elect Donald Trump and Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) continued on Sunday morning.

During Sunday’s “Meet The Press” Lewis told Chuck Todd that while he thinks Trump would benefit from a trip to Selma, Ala., he would not be the one to invite him there.
“By going to Selma, like President Bush, President Clinton [and] President Obama, maybe he would learn something,” Lewis said. “Maybe he would get religion.”
“So you would bring him? You would do that for him, if he asked” Todd asked.
“I would not invite him to come,” Lewis clarified. “I would not do anything to prevent him from coming if he asked.”

Earlier this week, Rep. Lewis told NBC New that he does not consider Trump to be a legitimate president.
“It’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president,” Lewis said at the time. “I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.”
Hours later, Trump fired back against the congressman in a few angry tweets.
“Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to… mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk – no action or results. Sad!” Trump wrote.
