Kellyanne Conway, senior adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, and CNN anchor Chris Cuomo got into yet another heated exchange on a Friday morning segment of “New Day,” this time over Russia and the American intelligence community.

Conway asked Cuomo why the Russian government would prefer Trump over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. “You really think that Russia wanted … Donald Trump elected president when he is going to be tougher than Hillary Clinton?” she inquired.
Cuomo demanded an answer to his question, eventually asking, “Why won’t the president-elect acknowledge what is so clear to the intelligence community, that Russia was involved in the hacks?”
Conway criticized Obama for waiting as long as he did to take action after the first indication of Russian involvement in U.S. politics. She also said that Trump wasn’t trying to disrespect the intelligence agencies over their Russia finds. “There are those out there who are trying to de-legitimize his presidency, review the election results,” she said.
Incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus recently said that Trump would accept recent findings of Russian interference if the intelligence community could find themselves “on the same page.”
CIA Director John Brennan issued a statement about the investigation, which was then backed by the FBI. Brennan, who told his employees that he spoke with FBI Director James Comey and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, said in a message that “there is strong consensus among [intelligence officials] on the scope, nature and intent of Russian interference in our presidential election.”
